Alleghany Students
| Since incorporation of February 1985, hundreds of graduating seniors have been awarded substantial scholarships. The scholarship committee—comprised of the ACEF President and Secretary, the Chairman of the Alleghany County Board of Education, the AHS Principal and Guidance Counselor, and representatives from the various scholarship funds -- selects awardees based on merit and need.
Each year’s Top 20 are not only financially honored, but are lauded at Dinner & Recognition Ceremony. Top eighth grade students from each of our three elementary schools also participate in the same type of Recognition Program. Plaques, certificates, and teacher testimonials make these events memorable for students and proud parents alike. Other Programs |
