Alleghany County, a rural farming community, the 4th smallest in North Carolina, with a population of 11,000 is a "Tier Two" county. Alleghany High School graduates an average of 100 seniors each year, with over 100 scholarships awarded annually.
In the previous 20+ years, hundreds of graduating seniors, many of whom have since completed post-secondary credentials, have received over $4,000,000 in scholarship aid. We could not accomplish this without the support of our community!
In 2024, 131 students received $330,000+ to further their education. Through the generosity of donors our current endowment is over $8,000,000.
Credentials our students are working toward obtaining.
